Which player is the best for Rockbox

I am thinking about purchasing a new portable music player and would like to know which devices are the most compatible with the rockbox firmware.

If this topic has already been covered in an article or another forum post, please redirect me to it, or give me your opinion.

Look at www.rockbox.org/wiki/BuyersGuide and PLEASE search the forums.  This has been asked so many times it isn't true.
