sansa e260 installed but when connected to PC rockbox quits

I have not been able to connect to my PC (either of them, windows XP or Ubuntu) once I installed Rockbox. Here is what happens:
booting the sansa e260 not connected to the PC, it boots up fine. As soon as I connect, Rockbox disables itself and goes back to the sansa firmware.
I hope this is in the correct forum.

This forum is for topics relating to the installation of Rockbox on Sandisk models only. Specifically this means questions about the installation process and/or problems you're having with it. Once you have booted Rockbox successfully even once, you should voice your concerns in other forums.

Anyway, as to your question please read www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaFAQ - it answers this and many other questions.  Rockbox does not yet have a USB for some players, so when you connect USB it reboots to the Sansa firmware to allow you to transfer files.

Uhm i just installed the new 3.0 Firmware on my e280. I used one about half a year old before. When i now connect my Sansa while rockbox is running, windows installs the driver and the Player is visible as 2 Devices. But Rockbox jus keeps on rebooting, so i cant acces the player, because it continiously appears and disappers. It does not try to boot the original Firmware.

I cannot confirm this behaviour.

My Sansa e250 goes into OF everytime. Mode set to MSC or MTP, with or without a Micro SD inserted.

Rockbox 3.0, r18607, all Settings cleared (= in default state).
My PC is running W2k Pro.

Rebooting into the OF only seems to work for some people.
