iPod Video screen has stuck/dead pixels. What to do?

(1/1)

Pinqvin:
So, yeah. The title explains my problem rather nicely. Some dead/stuck (I'm not sure whats the difference besides the fact that the other ones can be fixed) have suddenly appeared on my iPod Video 60GB screen. What's funny is that it's a rather large group of pixels that appeared all at once. Well, at least I find that a bit weird. The pixels seem to be green when you examine them in the default Rockbox theme but they vary in colors when you go over to apple firmware.

If they can somehow be removed, how would I go on fixing/getting rid of them? And if there's no way of getting them removed does any company sell these screens so I could swap it out for a new one? I've already tried applying pressure on the pixels but that hasn't seem to done any good. I heard that the rapid changing of colors could help a bit but haven't found any options for trying that one out. At least not yet. But I'll keep on looking in the meanwhile.

Also if my only option is to replace the screen I'm all ears for suggestions on where to get one. A company near Finland would be ideal but anything goes really.

LambdaCalculus:
iFixit sells replacement iPod video parts, and ships internationally.
