How have you installed? What player model do you have (there are 1st and 2nd gen Minis ...). What has this to do with compiling?

have you read the FAQ, as you agreed doing before asking when you signed up for these forums? The IpodFAQ has a link to a knowledge base article at apple that exactly describes how to distinguish the Ipod models. Also, you haven't answered how you installed Rockbox.

For the mini it's quite easy to tell the generation if you simply look at it. The differences are subtle but easy to spot.

Is there a reason why the download page has different downloads for Mini 1G and Mini 2G?

Then please do:

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodFAQ

should let you work out which ipod you have and then make sure you have installed the correct version.

Then please do so. You again haven't answered my question how you installed Rockbox ... (which is an important question right now ...)

I have installed using the USB link between pc and ipod.
I extracted the zip directly in the unit and then I launched on pc the ipodpatcher.

Why didn't you use Rockbox Utility, as suggested in the manual? Please try it, and use the autodetection button in the settings dialog to detect your player.

I don't understand. Reset the player, put it into emergency disc mode (see the FAQ again). Then start Rockbox Utility and let it autodetect the player.
