X5 autoplay
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:17:16 PM »
Is there anyway to get an x5 with rockbox to automatically start up when it is plugged in to a dc adapter? I looked through the x5 manual, but I couldn't find anything in there. When plugged in, the charging screen comes up instead of it starting rockbox.

And what is 'accessory power supply' in the ipod settings menu? I can't find any info on that in the ipod manual, and don't know what it does.

The accessory power supply turns on power to ipod accessories that need power through the dock connector.

So does anybody know how to get the x5 to automatically boot into rockbox whenever it is plugged into a power adapter? Mine always seems to go into charge mode, rather than boot rockbox.

Now that I've experimented with it a little bit, I realize that it only goes into charge mode most of the time. It sometimes turns on and starts playing. It seems to be random. Or maybe whenever it thinks the battery is full?
