i am new to rockbox and have a few questions before i take the plunge.


1 - will installing rockbox on my ipod 30gb 5.5g video brick it?

2 - are there any media players that i can use on my pc to sync music to my ipod once it is running rockbox.

3 - is there any support for last.fm on rockbox?

1.  No.

2.  Yes.  Or you can just drag and drop.

3.  I believe so, but I don't use it, so I'll need to defer to someone else.

I don't use any media players to synch my devices.  I just copy and paste my music directly to the player using Windows Explorer.

Foobar has a component called "copy to device" that would do the job.  Media Monkey has the ability to synch with portable players.  I'm sure that other media players can do it, but like I said, I don't use them so I can't provide much guidance.  Part of the value of Rockbox to me is that it lets me use my own file and folder structure and does not require me to use a media program on the PC side to load music.

after trialling rockbox i have found that it runs very slow on my ipod 5.5g, is this normal?
