It would be nice to add .mov support to rockbox because then I can veiw movies in my original firmware and rockbox.

The only player I can think of that uses the .mov container format for video playback is the Sansa e200. To be specific, the .mov containers on the e200 contain Motion JPEG (MJPEG) video.

I have a e200 and the orriginal firmware only supports .mov. I would like to be able to switch between the firmwares and maintain functunality in boath without haveing duplicit files in different formats. plus the e200 comes with conversion software that rotates the movie and sizes it down to the screen size so you end up with a smaller files.

The e200 software generates files many times the size of the files Rockbox plays. They're much larger than the videos we use assuming you properly generate your videos for Rockbox.

Llorean's right. MJPEG is not known for smaller file sizes for movies. You're much better off just sticking to transcoding movies to MPEG2, which often outputs movies that are much smaller than the original (the rare exception I can think of would be FLV files).
