complete installation problem

When I try to do a complete installation on my 4th Gen ipod photo/colour (using an imac) I first receive the message: "too many ipods found"  then at the end I receive the message "could not open ipod".
I only have one ipod plugged in...

Do you have the folder .rockbox in the root of any drives on your computer?

is your Ipod a MacPod or a WinPod? Does autodetection work correctly?

I changed it to a winpod..
