is it better to strip the R out of your 280?

I was wondering if the e200rpatcher gets updated as often as the sansapatcher program.  I was thinking, I don't use rhaposdy, never have, so would it make more sense to just turn my e280r into an e280?

If you look at the change-log for sansapatcher most of the entries have no relation to anything that an already-using user would care about  (i.e. RB Utility, adding support for the c200 series, etc).
