Sansa e280 v1 with Micro SD HC

(1/1)

navegao:
I read in the sansa forum about the compatibility with a micro sd hc 8GB memory. The answer was, use the rockbox firmware. I do that, and effectively, it recognize the 8gb memory, but i can write in it trough the player, because when i connect to the usb port, the system reboot and loads the original firmware, which didn't work with those memories.

Somebody now a way to solve this issue with the player. I now that the solution could be buy a  micro SD HC card reader, but i want to be sure that there in no possibility with the player.

Thanks

Until Rockbox has its own USB mode, that is the solution.

There is one more - but a bit inconvenient - way. You could copy the files from your PC to the internal memory of the player first, and then copy the files in Rockbox from the internal memory to the microSDHC. This will probably take a while and a few rounds with such an amount of data... and I believe you can get microSDHC readers for quite cheap already (sometimes cards are already sold with one).

I consider the time saved with a card reader to be worth the expense.  I got one for $0.99 on eBay (free shipping too).
