AlbumArt works in WPS but can't get PictureFlow to load
superkaybee:
Hi all,
I'm having trouble getting the PictureFlow plugin/demo working on my Sansa e250.
I'm using the latest build as of last night (r18358) and I've prepared album art following the guide in the wiki using the "/.rockbox/albumart/artist-albumtitle.bmp" method. The artwork files are 100x100 bmps and the color depth is 32.
This works great in the WPS but PictureFlow doesn't seem to find them. On startup, PictureFlow takes about 10 seconds "Preparing album artwork", with the progress bar moving along. Then it shows "No albums found" and "Could not create album art cache".
I've tried re-initializing the database and removing the PictureFlow directory from rocks/demos but nothing seems to help. Any ideas from those who have PictureFlow working?
Thanks.

Are you running the plugin with or without music playing..? The plugin needs the memory empty in order to load and display the artwork, so if you're playing music and the buffer's full you won't have enough memory available to load the art.
Then again, that usually passes an error about a lack of available memory, so perhaps that's not your issue...

Thanks for the suggestion. The music was stopped when I've tried this so I don't think its memory related. I'm unclear on why PF won't discover the images if the database is working properly for the WPS.

It seems like the database initialization isn't working. If you go into the Database browser, does it function properly?
superkaybee:
The database seems to be working ok. I can browse the entries by artist, album, etc. and the correct album art is displayed in the WPS.
