Ipod nano 4gb - memory corruption?
(1/1)
delt:
This has probably nothing to do with rockbox, but i'd like your advice on this anyway.
When there's less than about 150mb free on it, df gives me this error:
--- Code: ---df: `/ipod': Input/output error
--- End code ---
and this appears in my kernel logs:
--- Code: ---Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08
Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] Sense Key : 0x3 [current]
Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0
Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08
Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] Sense Key : 0x3 [current]
Aug 27 18:02:56 deimos kernel: sd 29:0:0:0: [sda] ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0
--- End code ---
This had happened once with some broken mp3 files, which i thought was weird (since when would broken file content cause errors at the filesystem level?) but it still happens with other files. The newly added mp3's seem to play fine however.
What do you guys make of it?
/* edit */ I just added a few more files, and now it seems fine. Weird?!??!??!?
cool_walking_:
Did you do a filesystem check with fsck.vfat?
I've had "Input/output error" before when reading files (not from df), and it was filesystem corruption.
