Sansa View 16GB - white screen and stuck after bootloader patching

(1/2) > >>

xbox:
I've downgraded my Sansa View 16GB from 01.01.06F to 01.00.03F. So I was able to enter the right mode and put the .rockbox folder there. When trying to patch the bootloader with sansapatcher.exe, it doesn't detect any device. e200patcher.exe does detect it and says patching was completed successfully. I should be able to see some text, but I see nothing but a white screen. Can't do anything until I reboot it. Then it's back to usual. Rockbox Utility doesn't detect any Sansa either, in any mode. So, no idea what else to do. I'm not even sure exactly what e200 model this 16GB Sansa View is supposed to be. Any help appreciated. Regards.

Bagder:
Rockbox does not run on the Sansa View.

MarcGuay:
The Sansa View uses the same firmware format as the e200 but they are not the same series and Rockbox will not work on the View.  You're lucky you didn't brick it.

OK then. Too bad that it's basically an e200 but  yet it's unsupported. Any simple explanation why it's not possible yet? Has anyone tried to work on it?
