Sansa c240 wont recognize internal memory
Chronon:
How much music is on the SDHC card? It doesn't seem like the offending file was on the internal memory after all.
Why did you assume that there's a problem with the internal memory? Try removing the SDHC card and put a couple of files into the internal memory and try initializing again. If my hypothesis is correct and it builds the database without the SDHC card then it will suggest that you need to run the binary search on the files on your SDHC card.
8sigma:
Sorry....I Might not have been clear.... I do not have the SDHC card in when I try to get it to read the internal.
But when I do put the card in it reads the card without issue.
Thanks
Chronon:
Maybe you have some errors in your filesystem. Try running a utility like chkdsk to try to detect and repair such damage.
pixelma:
Unfortunately, there is a bug in the database that it currently can't handle the situation when no music file is available (which would be the case if you don't have the card plugged and no music on the internal memory): http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9093. If I try that, it still states a "xxx files found" with this number matching the total number of files on the device, including files that belong to the firmware like fonts etc. and own text files and so on.
P.S. This is my guess on what happens. Did you try putting one or two music files onto the internal memory, maybe ones that were on the card before (to be sure these should be working)?
Chronon:
Initially, the OP had 6 files on the internal memory and no SDHC card.
