New WPS Tags

   I propose to add special wps tags related to sound options, ie balance, channels config, crossfeed being activated or not, and possibly others.
   The point is that we already have a volume tag, and I think it would be useful to be able to access other parameters' state from wps. Another possibility would be to add a generic tag for accessing options taking one parameter, opt name (or code).

Anybody think this is useful ?

i like the idea. i'd also like to see a wps implementation for the pitch display.
the feature is not necessary, but then again wps screens are also not necessary. Yet customizable appearance is one of the best features of rockbox IMO.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Well for example we could have a tag working as viewports tags do, taking in argument which option to display : %pr|<option name>|

Now that sounds like a good idea. Being able to retreive config options by name would add a -lot- of flexibility to the wps.

Created associated patch FS#9353 (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9353). No idea on how to implement a by-name access though, but would definitely be great.
