themes are not showing their background on Sansa E280?

Im trying to install new themes that Ive downloaded from this site and I extract everything into the .rockbox file and all the files are showing up, however when I load the new themes Ive downloaded the background is just coming up blank. Anyone know what may be causing this?

The files don't all belong in .rockbox, they belong in various folders inside of .rockbox. And do you mean "there is no background image" or "the background image doesn't change from the old one" or what?

Also, this wasn't a question about installing Rockbox. Please don't post questions like this in the Installation forum.

sorry I wasnt familiar with the forums I thought it would be considered an installation issue


I extracted each of the folders into .rockbox where they belong after unzipping the theme-  everything from backdrops goes into the backdrops folder in .rockbox etc

What I meant with no background image is that the background is just black like its not loading the image for some reason.

The "POSTING IN THIS FORUM" posts tries to make it very clear. It even says not to post there once you've successfully booted Rockbox.

Have you tried any of the themes that come with Rockbox?

Usually you can just unzip the theme into the root of the player and everything should end up where it belongs.

How are you loading the theme that you're using?

I seemed to have got the new ones working but I ended up deleting everything in my themes and wps folder including the built in themes that came with rockbox, and then just unzipped the themes I wanted again.

 Maybe it just had too many themes, or maybe I unzipped a folder into .rockbox that wasnt supposed to be there Im not sure.

The way Ive been changing themes is setting- theme settings - browse themes

If you update to a current build you will recover the stock themes that come with Rockbox.  It sounds like things are working now?
