Broken iPod Mini 2g

(1/1)

jden:
I've been using Rockbox for years,  but tonight I decided to update it.

I upgraded the boot loader to version 2 and rebooted.  I then unzipped r18341-080824 to .rockbox and rebooted.  Now, when connect the USB cable to my Windows XP box:

1. If the iPod is off, I get a Data abort at 0004D9A8 (0)
2. If the iPod is on and booted, I get the USB cable graphic and it freezes

In both cases, I can't access the iPod via Windows and need to menu-select reboot the iPod.  My iPod has only two root directories/files, .rockbox and snd.

Any ideas on where to go from here?

Update:  I reverted back to Apple's firmware, connected successfully using USB, and downgraded my Rockbox firmware.  Works now.

GodEater:
Have you tried using RockboxUtility to do this upgrade ?

Would we write it if there wasn't any?

Same problem here - crashes when I insert the USB cable.

I'm not sure how to recover this as I can't seem to access the device over USB from Windows or Linux...
