Ipod Video 30gig 5th Gen Dual Boot

I am unable to get my Ipod Video 30gig 5th gen to Dual boot. I have tried to hold down the menu button during boot up and using the hold button. My screen never states 'loading rockbox' as the user guide states it should.

any ideas?

What version of Rockbox, what version of the bootloader?

When exactly are you switching hold?

What does the screen show at each stage?

I have no problem dual booting on my 4th gen iPod...
As soon as the player displays the Apple logo i switch the hold button on and here it goes and loads tha Apple firmware.
