can LCD on ipod video 5g/5.5g be turned off?
viperman3:
I own a iAudio X5 and a iriver H320 and both are running rockbox. I'm very used to the LCD turning and I have just added rockbox to a friends 5th gen ipod video 60GB. What bothers me is that the LCD is still on even after the backlight turns off. I was under the impression that rockbox operated in the same fashion on all compatible targets (wiht perhaps some minor differences). Well, I'm wondering if I'm missing something regarding the LCD. Is there a patch that might enable the LCD to turn off?
thanks for any info.

I think it's unknown how to turn it off:

I'm not sure if the X5 LCD is turned off. I think it is just unreadable w/o the backlight...

As stated in the guidelines that you agreed to abide by when you signed up, please don't use internet slang such as "w/o". ;D

Hmm, I'm quite certain the LCD powers off when the backlight turns off on both the X5 and H300.
I just hoped there was something on the ipod.
