Sansa e260r i installed rock box and it turns to a blank screen!

OK when i boot into original firmware for the sansa e260r to transfer songs and everything else after it refreshes database it just goes into a black screen HELP

This is most likely a coincidence as Rockbox has nothing to do with the USB connection.

well would you recommend me doing anything? because the warenty is voided but i could make it into a hardware problem like ruin it on porpose because i have a accidental warenty program now could i do anything that would make it work?

File system damage can have strange effects.  You might run a disk checking utility to try to detect and repair any damage to the file system.  Maybe the Sandisk firmware is crashing because it's trying to read files that have been damaged.

Does it still establish a USB connection (show up as a drive)?

nope and if it did it would be fixed by now and all i really want to do is put some more songs on but i cant because it doesn't show up as a drive

Yes it does and heres what it says:

Welcome to recovery mode
*********************

USB cable connected

and then when i take the usb cable out heres what it says:

Enter USB2.0 MSD mode

and then when i put it back it

Safe to disconnect USB

Exit USB 2.0 MSD mode

Upgrading the system
Upgrade finished resetting system



then it restarts

You could save a lot of time by explaining these things when they happen instead of requiring me to ask you.  Try using a USB port in the back of your computer.  What operating system are you running?

ok i am running windows xp i used a different USB port and it came up as 16MB format  i drive now what do i do from there?

Continue following the Unbrick procedure.  You'll need to do both "Restoring the original firmware" and "Formatting the device" if Chronon's theory is correct.
