my computer cant find the player connected to it., i'm using apple 30gb ipod classic., i don't  know what seem to be the problem because my player is already in disk mode., i follow the rockbox manual instruction but still it doesn't work.

i would appreciate if you can help me.

There is no Ipod classic 30GB. What Ipod do you have?

@bluebrother: Apple has started referring (watch at 25 minutes in) to the "normal" (not nano, mini, shuffle, or touch) form-factor as "classic".

@che che: See here to identify which model you have.

You should also re-read the forum guidelines, because "help" is not a descriptive thread title.

cool_walking_, are you sure he isn't talking about the G6 models? Those are the "Classic", but only come as 80 or 160GB models. They also look slightly different (casing).

bluebrother, yes I know about the 6G "Classic", and I do think he probably is talking about the 6G, but I just wanted to tell you about a possible reason for people calling older iPods "Classic".  Since he specified that his iPod is 30GB, it's possible he has a 3G, 4G, or 5G, which Apple has started calling the "Classic" form factor.
