Problems with iRiver h10 20 GB (Now with even more problems.)

Famf:
My h10 is fairly old now, I've been using Rockbox on it since I've had it.  For the last few months it's had a problem where, after a while, the up button seems to get stuck.  I don't press anything, everything just starts going up and I can't go back in Rockbox or anything.  I have to reset it or wait for it to shutdown, which happens pretty fast now.  If I try to turn it back on immediately, the no battery symbols shows up, but if I don't mess with it for a while and try it again, it boots into Rockbox.

Is this a problem with Rockbox, or is my iRiver getting old?  I'm guessing the latter, but I have not booted into the original firmware to see if it does the same thing.  I'm guessing it's a problem with the battery, because it works fine when it's plugged in.

Llorean:
The H10 touchpad is known to react poorly to low voltages. With an older battery the voltage will dip deeper than normal briefly when the disk spins and other things, and this can cause the touchpad to start doing what you're experiencing.

Is there any known way to fix this?  Or would I be better off just buying a new player?  The H10 doesn't have a replaceable battery, does it?

Llorean:
I'm not sure, but I think the problem isn't seen as commonly in the original firmware, so there may be some way the handling of the touchpad could be improved in Rockbox, but don't take that as absolute truth. I have no firsthand knowledge of the H10 and am basically stuck providing advice based on what I've observed has happened to other people.

I'm pretty sure the battery is replaceable in certain of the H10s though. I'm just not sure which models it is replaceable for.

Ok, so I found this:  http://www.infinitybatteries.com/p-14127-iriver-h10-20gb-music-player-extended-battery-2200mah-li-ion-polymer.aspx

Does anyone know if this will fit in the h10?  There's a warning there about extended batteries but it says internal ones should fit fine.  This is an internal battery, right?
