The H10 touchpad is known to react poorly to low voltages. With an older battery the voltage will dip deeper than normal briefly when the disk spins and other things, and this can cause the touchpad to start doing what you're experiencing.
Just as a note:There is a 2200MA battery that will most definitely fit in an H10. I don't have the model number handy but I know it will fit because I put one in mine, along with an 80gb hard drive. It lasts for a long time. If memory serves me, it was actually for an H320 or 340. It was a little narrower and a tad thicker, but it fit without any real modifications.I will get/post the number when I find it.Dave
