Advanced Metronome
« on: August 18, 2008, 06:52:31 PM »
I installed the latest build of Rockbox to my new Sansa e260 (after I upgraded to the current firmware). I noticed there was a metronome plugin available.

Is there a metronome plugin which would have the option of choosing different note durations (quarter, sixteenth, triplet, etc...) and meters (3/4, 4/4, 6/8, etc...)?

Many commercial metronomes accent the first beat of each measure. Is there a plugin which can do this?

You might be interested in FS#6255 or FS#8266.  It looks like the first one is not in synch anymore, so it may need some work to get it to apply to current SVN sources.  The second one was posted, but apparently abandoned without being made into a proper patch.  So, some work has been done on such features, but you will have to do some legwork to see this on your player.

YES, it'd be nice to have Rockbox count 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, or complex (2+2+3 etc) meters, so I strongly support the request for a meter setting in the metronome plugin.

I have a 4G iPod.
