I already found out that the 2nd gen ipod doesnt play video shortly after I was asking that question. But thank you for all the information you guys have given me.

No - only the third gen Nano plays video under Apple's own firmware.

So - describe your Nano - what colour is it? What's it made from (metal, or plastic) ?

He has already realized that he has a 2nd generation Nano.    ;)

It's a silver 2nd generation Nano.
