Weird Things Happen When I Try To Move a Track Around On a Playlist
(1/1)
Strife89:
How to reproduce: Use any recent build (at the time of writing the most recent was r18274, which I updated to). Make a playlist of a decent size (most of mine that I tried were over 50 songs). From the WPS, go to the context menu and choose Playlist/ View Current Playlist. Choose a song and open the context menu, then choose Move.
The Problem: You should notice it now. After selecting Move, you're suddenly moving a completely different track. Once I was jumped ten tracks down. This is very confusing.....

Sounds like http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/7967
I also see this happen sometimes and with a different "offset". After reading the bug report I'm lead to believe that it has to do with me "insert shuffled" some tracks; just a usual insert or start of the playlist be chosing a track in a directory works ok.
To test the theory - Could you describe how you start the playlist or manipulate it later on (except moving)? Whether shuffle mode is enabled? - And please also comment on the task, I hope to get around to it myself soonish too.

Indeed, I have been using "Insert Shuffled" a lot more over the past few days. Shuffle itself (the playback option) is not enebled, and repeat is set to Repeat All.

I don't really do much. :D Basically I thumb through my database and/or the file browser, and when I bump into (a) song(s) that I want, I pick "Insert Shuffled". I frequently build playlists of over 100 songs this way (I ride my bike a lot now :) ).
I did check the limits. Max playlist size is at 5000, which exceeds the number I stick in my playlists by a good 4000 or so.
I should mention that I use a Sansa c250.
