JBR20, USB Power, Latest Rockbox Features

I've been using my V1 Recorder for almost 8 years and Rockbox for maybe 5 or 6 years. It's still going strong (knock wood!) but with a 100GB drive for the past few years.  I was just wondering has anyone has ever come up with a mod to power it (as a simple external drive) via USB?

I realize it's now an "ancient" device but what's the quickest to find if any new features have been added in Rockbox that apply to the AJBR?
