"Pocket Mode" (At least on Sansa e200)

TBOL3:
I also put it in my pocket.  And yes, I also have some troubles with scrolling the wheel.

Angelfire:
Well pardon me, but surely that is what the lanyard is for!  I hang it around my neck, mind you as a girl I do have the advantage of my boobs to keep it from swing erratically from side to side.  ;)  I also utilise the volume control on my in earphones, for the record they are Sennheiser CX500 available from Amazon.co.uk

GodEater:
I always found the cable on the Sennheisers a bit on the short side, but then I don't suspend my DAP around my neck - so perhaps it's not an issue for you ;)

Angelfire:
Well it seem reasonably long to me, but I believe the cable length varies according to which model phones you have, I have to coil the excess around the player.  Though that is handy as it helps to secure the sleeve on the player, which has a tendency to slide off.

TBOL3:
I actually got mine referb, so no lanyard, I had to use a string.  I also am male, thus, no boobs.  What I do is put it in a shirt pocket to support it (when I have an over shirt on, otherwise I look incredibly nerdy).

I also did find a small workaround.  If I keep rotating the wheal in my pocket, without pressing hard enough for the fabric to follow, then it will slowly adjust the volume, but it doesn't work well with levies.
