Help please [Err] [ERR]

I get this message wile trying to use the boot loader.
 [ERR] No ipod found
 [ERR] Please connect your ipod and make sure it is in disk mode.

I have the ipod in disk mode and plugged into the back usb port on my computer.I also put it into disk mode before hook it to my computer.I see the drive for it and windows will show it but the bootloader wont find it.Has anyone had a problem like this before?

I have the 80gbt Video .I think its the classic.

The Classic is different to the Video (aka 5th generation or 5.5th generation).  Check which you have.  As the front page says, Rockbox doesn't run on the Classic.

I have the Classic.It says it on the box.I just got my dreams crushed.Does anyone know of a alternative program out there for the ipod classic users,

Nope, as far as I know, no-one is even trying to get anything running on the Classic.

You can always return it and buy a 5/.5 gen second-hand.
