Problems installing on e280r
(1/1)
youngboy89:
I have a e280r, and I am on step 6 (in windows installer) of the Original Sansa bootloader patching trying to run the e200rpatcher.exe file i run it. I am in manufacturing mode. It recognizes my sansa and displays running patching application then i get 3 error messages.
1. Error writing data length.
2. Bulk write error (-116, Unknown error)
3. Upload of application failed.
What is my problem?
Fixed!!!

I would check to make sure you have enough hard drive space.
youngboy89:
how much space is required for rockbox to work correctly?
AutobahnSHO:
Really rockbox is only about 6mb or so-
But I would clear a lot more than that for the install....

Hello, I am getting the exact same error, can you tell me how you fixed it?
Also, I have the xx.100 sansa firmware; I don't need to update to the xx.165 first do I?
Thanks much
Okay, I figured it out, can we make this a sticky or something admins, a bunch of people seem to get it.
If you get a bulk write error, unplug, and plug it in again, maybe even another port. Works fine!
