syncing mp3 player and manager

it would be great to have a program which I can sync as well as manage my music in linux! I have a toshiba gigabeat f40. I love rock box and linux but am still new to it! Is there a program I can use that will do this. I have been unsuccessful with all the most popular ones(amarok, banshee, rythymbox etc...)! they seem to be compatible with ipod (with apples crappy firmware), but with nothing else.

please help me! This would make my life a lot easier!

Amarok is entirely compatible with a rockbox'd ipod / or other dap.

I have tried an auto detect and failed. manual also failed. ive tried a few mount points. but because i'm no wiz I may be doing the wrong thingsomewhere.

The last time I tried a message came up

You really should be asking the Amarok guys. It's their software and we can't be responsible for figuring out why it's acting weird.

Just tell them "I have a Gigabeat F running Rockbox so it's seen by my computer as simply a UMS device, and I can't get Amarok to sync to it." And of course, whatever other details they normally need.
