Status Bar
nydmt:
Some of the themes I download show a picture with a different status bar. How come when I use it on my iPod Nano the status bar is the same default one?
EDIT: ALL OF THE THEMES NEVER CHANGE MY STATUS BAR.
cool_walking_:
WPSes can't change the status bar. What you're seeing is probably the result of someone turning off the status bar, and creating a statusbar-like bunch of images and text at the top of the WPS.

But they can enable or disable it (within the context of the WPS screen itself).
I suspect, as cool_walking said, that the themes in question do not disable the statusbar and, because you have the statusbar enabled (which I suspect most users don't), then that is what you are seeing.
However, you should still see the the status information that the original picture showed as well.
Are you sure that the themes are not some of the very many that are currently broken due to recent WPS changes and which default to something like the picture below, but with the background of the theme you selected:

Every single theme I download for my 1G iPod nano from here: http://www.rockbox-themes.org/index.php?res=176x132x16 doesn't change my status bar. Please help me.
EDIT: Also the player doesn't look like it should. For example, instead of seeing: http://www.rockbox-themes.org/data/176x132x16/BlackGlass_AA50_b.png
I see a plain crappy player. I would REALLY appreciate some help.
bluebrother:
the themes on that page are completely outdated, won't work with current Rockbox versions anymore and will only show the default wps instead of the one that the screenshot shows. This has nothing to do with the statusbar setting itself, it's just an incompatibility issue of the wps syntax.
