is there some way to open flv files through rockbox? i know that the format isnt supported, but maybe there is a chance, nevertheless...
if it's unsupported, how should that work?

and what about the future, it will be supported?
by the way, i saw that the codec files comes with the suffix:"/.codec"
so is it possible to add a codec from an external soruce? how?
(sorry about the questions i'm a kind of "newbie" in  this field of open source firmwares

Llorean:
Just convert .flv files, there's many tools to do so.

And file extensions (like .codec) generally are used for organizational purposes and don't actually guarantee anything about the contents of a file. While it would be possible to add a codec from an external source, it would have to be made exactly for the same version number of Rockbox, and the same player.

abcd1234:
how can i verify that?
and what do you mean: "the same player"?

Llorean:
As in, for you the codec must explicitly be compiled for an Sansa e200 series running whatever Rockbox revision you're running.

Believe me, it's exceedingly unlikely you'll ever come across a codec that will work on your player, and even if it does, it'll probably stop working after an update or two.

nasty business
