Songs skipping (ipod 30gig video)

This is my problem, when I play about 1/2 of my songs it plays for like 10 seconds then skips to the next song. On most albums if one song skips then all of them do. This is very frustrating, anyone know how to fix it?

You're going to have to give more info then that.

File type, sizes, how you encoded them, how reproducible the problem is with each file, etc.
