Very basic question (related to songs organization).
« on: July 29, 2008, 06:01:55 PM »
Dont know if its a dump question.

In my PC, i have five folders of mp3 each having 50  songs.
Ex:

Folder1
  song1.mp3
  song2.mp3
  .
  .
 Song50.mp3
Folder2
  song51.mp3

etc

Is there any way, in rockbox by eah folder. Ex: i want to listen to all songs in folder3 only

Currently, i am only seeing option to play by artist, album etc.

Thanks for any help.

How is the music organized on the player ?

How do you get the mp3 files onto the player ?
What is your file view set to ?
See the manual below to change settings on file view

Indeed, the Sansas hide their OF-created folders (MUSIC, PHOTO, etc.) by default. You must set the "View Files" setting to "All" in order to see them in the file browser.

Either set view files to all in Rockbox, or copy your music to a folder other than Music (e.g. Audio).  The OF will still find it.

Then browse to the folder you want to listen to through the files menu, and select the first song therein.
