Sansa e250 does not accept albumart file in /.rockbox/albumart/ folder or

I have been trying to load some .bmp album art files onto my e250. I first tried to put it inside the album's own folder but failed. I then created a sub-folder under /.rockbox and named it albumart/. Still didn't work. I get the following message: The file 'filename' is not supported on this device. This device can only accept audio, playlist, audio album and folder files."

I have no problem saving album art bmp files onto the SD card and displaying them.

I use Windows XP SP2's explore to transfer files.

Any suggestion, please?

Are you in UMS mode or MTP?

Double check that it's not MTP. MSC mode doesn't include the ability for windows to know what types of files the device may accept.

You are absolutely right!!! I accidentally used the other mode. Now it accepts the bmp files. Thanks a lot.
