native rockbox support
« on: July 17, 2008, 12:15:43 AM »
I know the whole point of rockbox is to replace proprietary firmware. But are there any native players that support Rockbox out of the box?

My Sansa e280 crapped out  (hardware probblem). and looking for a new player.

and if there isn't a native support player then, what is the best player for rockbox (I know this is more of an opinion question)

No commercial player ships with Rockbox installed.  I can't say what is the best target because I don't know what you want to use it for.  Some people need recording capability or a large screen or FM radio, etc.  Why not check out http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/BuyersGuide?
