e270 and jpeg

I got an E270 and I cant view images when i use open with and then choose jpeg, I get the message "plugin returned error" and I dont have music playing, the file is a jpeg, and I can set it as backdrop and open it with rockpaint, but not jpeg. Any light on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you can set it as a backdrop it's a bmp, not a jpeg.

ok. but i still have the problem opening jpeg files

If they're not jpegs, they won't open in the jpeg viewer. Since you can set them as backdrops, they're not jpegs.

It's not a problem, you're trying to open up the wrong sort of file. If they can open in Rockpaint, they cannot open in the jpeg viewer.

but i do also have jpeg files, and those arent working with jpeg

How were they created? Are they interlaced?

Since you were confused earlier, are you really 100% sure they're jpeg and not png, gif, bmp, or something else and simple NAMED jpeg?

thanks i got it working now any idea how to get my computer to view the e270 as a msc device without having to refresh the database first?
