Can Rockbox support drag and drop in an Ipod

Hi,
 I have a sansa e200 series running RB for a long time and it runs great. Its simple, drag a folder or song from my HD and drop it into the  sansa, the sansa indexes it and it works every time.  My wife on the other hand has an Ipod and is getting frustrated using the itunes software. So the question is this. Will installing RB on the Ipod circumvent all the apple software and allow her to utilize it the same way I do my sansa? Drag and drop and not have to deal with itunes ever again.
