Run a Patch

Hello i'm trying to run the lyrics plugin discussed in this forum and a patch is included along with the .rock file. But i don't know how to run the patch. Does anybody know how to get the lyrics viewing plugin to work on iriver h20 or how to run a .patch file.

You don't run a patch. A patch is applied to the sources, which means you need to compile your own build. The wiki has information about how to do this (I think one page was named WorkingWithPatches, but make sure you can compile your own build first)

Llorean:
As a note there is no such player as an "h20", was this a typo of "h120" or were you referring to a "20gb h10"? It's not important here, really, since patching works the same for all of them, but it will matter if you end up with other questions.
