Ah -- then that line should get changed ;) Rockbox Utility is "in the wild" for quite a while now and has proven to work nicely for almost all people (and those having issues with it most likely also would've issues with the manual install). So that line is somewhat outdated ...

And yes, you need to initialize the database first. Or, if you don't want to use the apple firmware later, just put music files on your player keeping sensible file / folder names.

ok first "issue" --- does Rockbox support Asian languages ?
Chinese/Japanese song names show up as boxes  :-\

You need to pick a font that has the right characters. Unifont will, but will be the wrong size. Other fonts might work better, but it's hit and miss whether they'll have the characters you need.

look through the fonts folder you installed  ;)

yes sir! thanks ..I found the font Sazanami-Mincho....so far looks good, displays Western/Chinese/Japanese

add: Unifont  is perfect but daymnnn why there's only one size  :-\

Careful about encouraging people to just blindly copy folders over and expecting them to be merged. It does work in Windows, but not on OS X where it will replace the entire folder with the new one.
