we must be talking/thinking totally diff things
how can a folder with identical name NOT overwrite the other ????

Read what that dialog says: If the files are the same they will be replaced.

If there are different files, then they won't be replaced, both of them will be there. This is basic computer usage...

Windows tells you that "if files in the folder ...". Those archives don't contain the same files so there won't get any files overwritten. Still, why have you chosen to not use Rockbox Utility? If you have doubts about the simple warning windows displays I'm really puzzled you didn't choose the automated installation.

OK....Rockbox installed...iPod rebooted
Now since all my existing music was loaded via iTunes, I need to "build the database" right ?
