Use boot loader strictly for two Apple OS's?
« on: July 06, 2008, 03:21:25 AM »
High,

Basically it's like this:
I have two hacked Apple firmwares. I have modded them such that they read from separate music directories on the iPod. I am also using Foobar with the 'foo_dop' component to write my music library to these two separate directories.
I have done all the testing and it all works... I just need to dual boot the two firmwares now.

I have tried the iPodLinux boot loader just because it was easy - but I don't like it.
I would rather have a similar boot the way RockBox does.
Default boot to one firmware or boot to the other firmware only when the hold switch is on when booting.

Is there any way you guys can help me out here?
I don't want RockBox itself on my iPod (too complex for me), but I do wish to use the RockBox boot loader to boot into my two separate firmwares.

Cheers in advance.

This has nothing to do with Rockbox.  The code is freely available if you want to modify and use it, however.

I apologize that it isn't to do with RockBox. I thought maybe that I was wanting to use it's boot loader, then maybe?

Is there any chance of getting help modifying the code to achieve what I want??

Cheers
