Nano charging problem

Hi, first I'd like to thank all those who contributed to rockbox. It's really a great system. I've been using it on my 4g 1gen nano for a couple of years, and it worked great. But recently I changed to a later build, and started to have a not-so-serious but pretty annoying problem while charging nano.

This only happens when I use AC/DC adapter to charge, and it happens regardless whether I've pressed the 'menu' button when I plugged in the adapter. At first it seems to charge as usual, then I walk away. At some point, it restarts itself, and hangs in the apple logo with backlight on. Sometimes it'll be a while before I notice this and press 'menu' + 'select' to restart it, but the machine has already become quite hot due to the continual backlight, and this makes me worry whether it'll damage the machine.

I changed the build again to see if a later one will fix this. The build I'm using now is r17730-080618, but it's still the same. I wonder if there's anyway to fix this, otherwise I'll always have to keep an eye on nano while it's charging, which is pretty annoying. Thanks for any help in advance.
