Installing a Theme, problems.

(1/1)

megabug:
Hi,

I have an Ipod Video 30GB with rockbox running on it. But if I want to install a new theme, it looks crappy. ;) No, I installed the additional fonts!

Problem is, that when showing what is playing, it should have some buttons and icons on the bottom of the screen (play and such stuff) but there is just empty space!

It should look like this:

But looks this:

Whats missing/wrong?

Thanks. :)

Btw: Rockbox is great! Used it some years ago with my Archos Recorder (text display) and liked it from then.

The WPS syntax changed recently, and that theme looks like it hasn't been updated, so it is falling back to the old default.

There are numerous threads in this forum on it, and check out www.rockbox.org/wiki/CustomWps to fix the syntax.

Slim:
Have the same problem, but that link's not working .. can someone post a link with info on fixing theme files? Thanks!

AlexP:
Sorry, www.rockbox.org/wiki/CustomWPS

The lack of consistency between the capitalisation or otherwise of acronyms on wiki page names can be annoying!  I hope nobody links this to a previous post of mine when I corrected someone else's incorrect capitalisation of a page name.... :)

By the way, I you did follow the previous link at the top of the page you get is
