I Have A Question About The IPod?

alright im about to buy the 80 GB ipod, in a couple days. I wanted to know if i had to clear [not erase] the songs that are already in my itunes before i actually try to transfer the songs?
Or should i leave the songs on my itunes library and transfer it, right from the library the way it is now.
will it count the songs i use , or will it skip transfering some of the songs the im trying to put in the mp3 player

I have no idea what you're asking, or what it has to do with installing Rockbox on an iPod.

A new 80 GB iPod is most likely a "Classic" and will not work with Rockbox.

The rest of your question appears to be general iTunes information we don't have.

Mind you, Rockbox is not a modification of the Apple software, it is a wholly separate program, and despite its ability to play music placed on your iPod by iTunes, has nothing to do with iTunes.
