Help! my 1G iPod nano isnt conecting with the computer

i instald the Rockbox systm on my 1G iPod nano and after somthing like a day, whan i pluged in my iPod to the USB the ipod is'nt respond and the computer too.
i tryed to cheng the USB cable and do it not in my computer and it's not working too.
i tried doing  MENU+SELECT and then SELECT+PLAY and plug in thw iPod to the computre and it's not working too...
what i neet to do to bring my iPod back?

What is displayed on the iPod's screen when you do this?  Do you see a screen that looks like this:



If not, then you are not doing it right.  Follow the directions here:

yes i see this screem.. and it isnt respond whan i conect it to the USB... it's stil telling me "OK to disconect"

Try using the ports on the back of your PC instead of the ones on the front. Also, try a different cable or a different computer.

You tried to do what?  LambdaCalculus made three separate suggestions:

1.  Try a different USB port.
2.  Try a different cable.
3.  Try a different computer.

Which of these have you tried?

It is also worth trying to reboot your computer.

1.i tried all the portes in my computher and reboot it
2.i tried with my dad's cabble
3. i tried a difrent computer.. and all the usb portes it has...

is my ipod dad ?:'(

2.  Turn the iPod off by pressing and holding the Play/Pause button until it shuts down.

3.  Turn the Hold switch to the on position.

4.  Plug in the USB cable.

it's turnd on the apple systam but it until not working..and the computer not respond..
there isnt way to restore his systam not from the ituns... manualy?

I'm sorry, but I can't understand your last response.  Could you please describe EXACTLY what happens at EACH STEP of the instructions I gave you?

You might also try a different PC. I once had the USB driver of my PC messed up so no devices would connect.

It's worth making absolutely sure on these items.  I have had a bit of trouble caused by bad cables/bad ports.  Hopefully one of these will allow your iPod to mount properly.
