Help! Ata error: -11

I just used the rockbox utility to install rockbox on my 1st generation nano. Now when I turn on my ipod the screen says:

ATA error: -11
Press ON to debug.

If i press any key it takes me to a screen with a bunch of values, and if I press the menu key the screen says

*PANIC*
ata: -11

Also my computer will not detect the ipod when its plugged in.

Ok I fixed it. I restarted the iPod by pressing middle button + menu then booted it into disk mode by pressing middle button + Play/pause. Then my computer detected it and I restored the ipod with itunes.

Although I did get my ipod to work again, i would still like to install rockbox. Ive used the rockbox utility and tried manually installing rockbox. Does anybody have any suggestions?
