If you had read the manual, you would have seen the following:

Quote
To start a game open a ROM file saved as .gb or .gbc in the file browser.

You may have to change the Show Files setting in order for .gbc and .gb files to appear in the file browser.

They should show up just fine if set to supported, just obviously not music or playlists.

There is no separate download.  Rockboy is part of Rockbox.

And as Febs has already said, the manual explains this.  Please read it.

Anyway, playing Rockboy on your MP3 player is not a good alternative to a real Game Boy.

On my iPod, Back is "left", Next is "right", Play is "down", Menu is "up", touching the wheel in the botton left corner is "select", touching the wheel in the right bottom corner is "start", scrolling gently left is "a" and scrolling gently right is "b".

Playing Game Boy games when you have only 4 buttons on your MP3 player is almost impossible...
