1st Generation Ipod Nano won't turn on HELLP !!!!
(1/1)
SkippyDogg:
when i installed Rockbox everything went GREAT. But i wanted to add some new songs so i connected it to my PS3 and it didn't recognize it in the RockBox firmware so i rebooted it to the original ipod firmware that it had. When it rebooted the apple logo came on but it didn't go off i left it for 10 min and still backlight still on and everything so i restarted the ipod by Menu+Select and this time it rebooted very weirdly the apple icon was still on the screen and was fainting every 2 sec on then when it was gone i tried to turn it on nothing. :( i connected to the computer nothing didn't turn on and i also tried the charger nothing. Also when i try Menu+Select for 6 secs the backlights flahes for half a second and turns off and at the same time it sounds like a spark or a click when the light flashes. Can someone PLZ PLZ help me!?
GodEater:
Sounds to me like the battery is flat. When this happens to an iPod you need to charge it for a LONG time to get it back to a working state. Stick it on charge for at LEAST 24 hours, and don't unplug it until those hours have passed.
SkippyDogg:
yeah I've been charging it and when i try to reboot it while the charger this time it make 2 clicks very fast ( not the click of the ipod's internal speaker) but a click and it sounds awfully like a spark inside the ipod.
